Week 78 and 79 Italian Words Learned

So much has been going on recently… moving house, changing career and with no Italian lessons, my exposure to new words and phrases slowed down. So here are two weeks together from when classes started up again…

  1. ogni tanto – sometimes
  2. ostacolato – obstructed
  3. irriverenza – irreverence/disrespect
  4. meritare – to deserve
  5. tristezza – sadness
  6. malgrado – despite/in spite of/even though
  7. dotato – gifted
  8. torto – injustice/grievance
  9. ventenne – 20’s
  10. trentenne – 30’s
  11. Vattene! – Begone!/ Go away!
  12. pelata – bald
  13. strappandosi – tearing/ripping
  14. la frenetica – frantic
  15. traboccante – overflowing
  16. si lamenta – she complains
  17. lamentare/lamentarsi – to complain
  18. spericolate – reckless
